Synergy Dance Festival - Glitter Dance Ensemble 2025

Date/Time:

  • Monday 16 June 2025 10:00am - 2:00pm (Stage rehearsal: 10.30am at Penrith Panthers – parents and students should meet teachers in the foyer. Students will arrive back to school and change back into their sport uniform. Costumes will be sent home with students so they can arrive dressed for the evening performance.)
  • Monday 16 June 2025 6:45pm - 9:00pm (Note: Parents are responsible for transporting students to and from the venue. Students must arrive with hair and makeup completed. Approximate pick- up time is between 8.30pm - 9pm)

  • Description:

    We are excited to inform you that the Glitter Dance Ensemble will be performing their POM routine at the 2025 Synergy Dance Festival on Monday 16th June and Tuesday 17th June at the EVAN Theatre, Penrith Panthers Leagues Club, located at 123 Mulgoa Road, Penrith, NSW 2750

    Stage Rehearsal – Monday 16th June

    SPS Level 2 Competitive Cheer Team need to arrive at school by 8am for normal cheer practice with their hair and makeup done. 

    • Arrival at school: 9.00am - students arrive to school in full sport uniform with hair and makeup done and bring tan matte stockings and tan jazz shoes. Please meet in the hall to receive costumes and get changed. 

     

    • Departure: 10:00am sharp (parents assisting with carpooling are requested to have a copy of their driver’s licence, car insurance details, and a valid Working With Children Check submitted to the school office prior to departure.)

     

    • Stage rehearsal: 10.30am at Penrith Panthers – parents and students should meet teachers in the foyer on arrival. Students will arrive back to school and change back into their sport uniform. Costumes will be sent home with students so they can arrive dressed for the evening performance.

     

    Performance Dates – Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th June

    • Monday 16th June – Evening Performance
      • Arrival at venue: 6:45pm (students should meet teachers in the foyer)
      • Performance Time: 7:30pm sharp

     

    • Tuesday 17th June – Evening Performances
      • Arrival at venue: 6:45pm (students should meet teachers in the foyer)
      • Performance Time: 7:30pm sharp

     

    Note: Parents are responsible for transporting students to and from the venue. Students must arrive in their costume with hair and makeup done.

    Venue:

    Penrith panthers, Evans Theatre (Panthers Precinct, 123 Mulgoa Rd, Penrith)

    Transport:

    Private vehicle - Parents responsible to arrange transport for their child to and from the event.

    What to Wear:

    Costume and Clothing Requirements
    • Footwear: All dancers need tan slip-on jazz shoes (no laces) and tan matte stockings (no shimmer). These are available at Dance Dymension Katoomba or most dance stores.
    • Hair/Pom Accessories: We are providing all dancers with SPS hair bows and school poms.
    • Clothing on Performance Evenings: Comfortable and warm clothing to wear over the costume. Closed-in shoes with socks are recommended to keep feet warm.

    Hair and Makeup
    • Hair: A slick, low bun with a middle part. No flyaway hairs.
    • Makeup: Stage makeup including foundation, powder, blush, eyeshadow, mascara and red lipstick

    Food:

    Students are to bring their own recess and lunch. Students are to bring their own water (no glass containers).

    Additional Information
    • Quiet Activities: Students are required to have a quiet activity such as a book, colouring materials, or cards during performances. Electronic devices are not recommended and the responsibility of the student; supervising teachers will not take responsibility for them.

    • Food and drink: Please ensure your dancer has plenty of water and healthy snacks.

    • Post-Rehearsal Pickup: If you wish to take your child home after the stage rehearsal on Monday 16th June in preparation for the evening performance, please inform the supervising teachers.

    • Performance Evening Backstage Access: Parents are not permitted backstage during the show. Students can be picked up after the show has ended. The meeting point will be in the foyer of Penrith Panthers.

    • Synergy Dance Festival apparel is available for purchase during the dress rehearsal or on performance days.
