Stage 1 Springwood Historic Walking Tour

Springwood Walking Excursion 2025

Monday 2 June 2025 9:25am - 3:25pm (Children will walk between each location in a rotating schedule.)

Description:

Children will walk into Springwood, visiting the library, Fire Station, and Police Station, as well as a heritage walk through the business centre of town to look at places such as the station, Fraser Memorial Church, Braemar Gallery and the former Springwood Public School site (near IGA). This is a follow up to our History unit of study, “The Past in the Present”

Venue:

Springwood Library (104 Macquarie Road, Springwood), Springwood Sports Club (83 Macquarie Rd, Springwood), Fire and Rescue NSW Springwood Fire Station (282 Macquarie Rd, Springwood), NSW Police Springwood Police Station (4 Jerseywold Ave Springwood)

Transport:

Walking to and from venue.

What to Wear:

Full school uniform including hat.

Food:

Students are to bring their own recess and lunch. Students are to bring their own water (no glass containers).
