SPS K-2 Sports Carnival - Held at Springwood Public School

K-2 SPORTS CARNIVAL

This year, K-2 students will participate in an “Olympics” themed Sports Carnival on Wednesday, August 7th. Each group will represent a continent, reflected in the colours of the Olympic rings.

Throughout the day, groups will rotate through six activities: Running, Obstacle Course, Novelty Games, High Jump, Vortex, and Long Jump. Points will be awarded for effort, behavior, support of others, sportsmanship, and manners.

The schedule below provides an outline of the day's events.

Time

10.00am – 10.20am  -  Ceremonial Torch Relay

10.30am – 11.10am  - Session One – 2 rotations

11.10am – 11.50am  - RECESS

12.00pm – 1.00pm - Session Two – 3 rotations

1.00pm – 2.00pm - LUNCH

2.10pm – 3.00pm - Session Three – 1 rotation and relays

3.10pm – 3.25pm - Final Assembly

We encourage all children to come dressed in their group colour and sports gear ready to run, jump and throw their way to becoming the K-2 Champion Continent!

Kindergarten - Red

1D -  Yellow

1SA - Green

2C - Blue

2W - Black

Parents are invited to attend the carnival and are welcome to have lunch with their child. Please enter the school through the Burns Rd Gate, as all other entrances will be locked from 9.25am.
